A new DLC pack for the free to play MMO DC Universe Online titled Halls of Power Part I has been announced today by Sony Online Entertainment.

The DLC will add a new storyline to the superhero MMO as well as fresh Raids, Alerts and Operations. The pack represents the 11th add-on to the title, and will be available for PC, PlayStation 3, and PS4 this summer.
The story focuses on the New Gods of Apokolips and New Genesis as they search for powerful ancient relics. According to the press release, Darkseid's son, Kalibak, and the villain Mantis have called upon the agents of Darkseid to delve beneath the surfaces of New Genesis and Apokolips to chase after these artifacts.

In the new content, players will be able to play with or against the iconic villains and heroes from the Fourth World, a first for DCUO, including Kalibak, Mantis, Mister Miracle and Big Barda. The DLC adds five cooperative multiplayer missions: two 8-player Raids, one 8-player Operation, one 4-player Alert and one 4-player Operation.
The DLC will also feature new League Halls, which will be added for all players as a free game update prior to the release of Halls of Power Part I.
"We know our players experience a tremendous sense of camaraderie when they take on adventures together, so we wanted to pack a variety of challenging group content into this DLC that we know they will enjoy," said Jens Andersen, Senior Creative Director for DC Universe Online.
"We're also expanding the DCUO storyline, introducing players to characters from both New Genesis and Apokolips, and we think heroes and villains alike will be very pleased with how the Halls of Power trilogy evolves."
