Where there's money, there's lawsuits, and Grand Theft Auto V has a lot of money to its name. Last December it was revealed that Lindsay Lohan was debating suing the creators of the game due to a similarity between her and a character in the game, and now she's officially done it.
The AP is reporting that the actress is suing Take-Two Interactive Software and their subsidiary Rockstar Games, filing the suit last Wednesday in a Manhattan court.
Lohan's suit alleges that a character named Lacey Jonas is an "unequivocal" reference to the star, and that her image, voice and clothing lines are all depicted. The Lacey character is an actress who shows up as the first 'Strangers and Freaks' mission which requires you to drive her around and evade the paparazzi that are hounding her.

Other similarities are mentioned in the suit, such as a digital representation of West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont hotel, where Lohan once lived. That really seems like it's stretching it- there are many, many locations from LA represented in the "San Andreas" of GTA.
The character is also featured on the game start screen and the box art.
Judging that GTAV was the best-selling game of last year, racking up over 800 million in its first day alone, there's a lot of money to be made here.
Of course, Lindsay Lohan has had her own troubles with the law as it is. Last year she was charged with three misdemeanor counts involving a car crash - willfully resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer, providing false information to an officer and reckless driving, as well of violating her probation in a misdemeanor jewelry theft case.
