Hyrule Warriors, the upcoming Dynasty Warriors-esque fighter that puts you in a much more action-packed Hyrule, is constantly increasing its roster. Today Nintendo and Tecmo Koei unveiled the latest challenger, Lana, in a new video.
Clash of Clans Introduces Live Streaming
The total number of playable characters is now up to six. Lana joins Link, Zelda, Midna, Impa, and Agitha, who made her first and only appearance in Twilight Princess. In what is a big 180 degree turn from certain other game franchises, that means five of the playable characters are female. Considering that the games are titled The Legend of Zelda, but are actually about a pointy-eared dude named Link, it seems appropriate the women of Hyrule finally get their moment to throw down as well.
Oh she may look like that punk rock girl you had a huge crush on in high school, but do not be deceived by the big eyes, the cute hair and the pixie-like demeanor, Lana can hold her own against any opponent.
GTA Online Celebrates 'Murica With New Content
Lana is the White Witch of Hyrule, an original character who more than likely has some sort of Wicked-esque connection to the game's protagonist, the Black Witch Cia. She is primarily a summoner, wielding a large spell book and bringing forth large anthropomorphic shapes to aide her in mowing down the legions of enemies.
Hyrule Warriors will be hitting the Wii U exclusively on September 26. Check out Lana as she whoops some ass in the trailer below.
