'Mortal Kombat X' News: Two New Character Reveals Coming At E3 Says 'Kreator' Ed Boon [VIDEO]

Two New Fighters To Be Announced for Mortal Kombat X at E3

As good as the newly announced Mortal Kombat X looks, a roster of two ain't good for much more than tango. Thankfully, we know that at least two more fighters will be joining the party, and will be announced next week when this year's E3 kicks off.

Get Over Here! And Check Out Scorpion's Design for Mortal Kombat X

The word came from up on high - the very lips, or at least the very Twitter, from the Mortal Kombat creator himself Ed Boon, who tweeted, "Two of my new favoriates will be at E3 !!"

This of course begs the question -- NEW, new? As in never, ever before seen? Or "new" for the rebooted Mortal Kombat series new, like Capcom considers Rolento, Poison, Hugo, and Elena "new" for Ultra Street Fighter IV? If it's the latter, that leaves us with a whole lot of options, and the fans have already started throwing Boon suggestions for characters they want in the new title, whether they were in the previous game or not.

Boon has yet to confirm appearances from characters like Sindel, Kitana, Mileena, Jade, and others, but did say that Kratos would be a no show, explaining that he "didn't want a repeat." I suppose we could assume similar logic for other "guest stars" like Freddy Krueger.

Thanks to the announcement trailer, the only truly confirmed characters we know of are Scorpion and Sub-Zero, but more are no doubt on the way, some familiar, and at least two...not so much. "More roster? Yes! Entire roster? Not likely," tweeted Boon in response to a fan asking about the roster reveal.

We can play the guessing game all we like, but the best thing to do is wait for NetherRealm Studios to unveil everything at E3. If you missed the Mortal Kombat X announcement trailer, you can check it out below.
