Developer CD Projekt Red held a live conference today about their plans for the future with GOG and, among several other announcements, released a new trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Dead Rising 3 Announced For PC, New Trailer Released
The video (below) is dubbed the "E3 2014 Trailer - The Sword Of Destiny", though in following along with a common trend in the industry right now, it was not actually held for a reveal at E3. Regardless, I recommend you watch it right now, because it's absolutely fantastic.
Whether or not the game is as good as the trailer, few get me as excited as this one just has. It's got exposition that sets the background, drama, some great music, and is edited very well. Fortunately, going by the developer's track record, I would place my bets on The Witcher 3 looking every bit as good as it does in the new video.
Metro Redux HD Remastering Looks Great In New Screenshots
Trailers have been misleading before, so I'll temper my expectations, but as a teaser it's entertaining and well done regardless of how the game turns out, and is worth watching for that alone. That said, the gameplay portions (of which there are plenty) look extremely good graphically--everything is smooth and fluid, and it's arguably the most "next gen" footage we've seen so far.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 24 2015. It was originally planned for launch this fall, but CD Projekt announced in March that it was pushing the title back in order to further polish and refine the game.
