Owners of Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition are about to get an infusion of Master Chief with the Minecraft Halo Mash-Up Pack. Developer 4J Studios has slowly been releasing screens showing off the new characters skins but now some of the series' most iconic maps have been sighted.
Screens of Master Chief And The New Creepers With Minecraft's Halo Skins
See, this is no mere skin pack. The DLC will come with a massive pre-made world that features famous multiplayer maps from the series like Blood Gulch, Sandtrap and Valhalla. Once installed the game will be updated with an exclusive Halo-themed texture set, Halo-themed menus and user interface, 40 character skins, and many music tracks from across the Halo series. It's going to offer you pretty much everything you need to have a full experience of Halo, albeit a blockier, more adaptable version.
While Minecraft: Xbox One Edition has been announced it hasn't yet been revealed which skin packs and dlc will be made available for it. According to Mojang most of them will transfer over to the new version, but not all. Transferring over to the Xbox One version will be a mere $5 for Xbox 360 Edition owners, however, so it might be worth it no matter what, since it will offer larger levels and crisper graphics.
Minecraft: Xbox One Edition Announced, Hits In August
Check Halo Waypoint for even more screens. 4J Studios still hasn't announced a release date for the pack, although it's supposed to be nearly here. They also haven't announced a price point just yet. Skin Packs typically cost around $3 but this is much more than your average pack, so expect a premium price to match. We'll let you know when it hits!
