Respawn Entertainment pulled the Capture the Flag mode from the PC version of Titanfall earlier this week, but have announced they will be putting it back into the title following a strong fan outcry.

Respawn explained that only 1 percent of users were playing CTF, causing infinite searching loops for anyone who tried to join the game mode. The backlash, however, has been greater than the number of players who were actually playing CTF, as explained in a long post on the game's official website.
The way matchmaking works in Titanfall left people searching forever in CTF, leading Respawn to dub the mode "effectively broken". They will be bringing it back as a result of the fan response, but will be doing so with a wider search range for the mode.

If matches aren't being found in your area after a few minutes, Titanfall will expand the search to other continents. Given the community reaction, Respawn is obviously opting to offer CTF with a potentially poor connection rather than removing the mode altogether. Here's the developer's explanation:
"We're introducing a test of even wider region searches. If you're searching for 5 minutes without starting a game, Stryder will eventually widen your search to include neighboring continents. This means you might end up in a game with a much higher ping than you're used to, but as players pointed out; playing is preferred to not playing at all!
"The 5 minutes is a rough estimation as Stryder may very well use a much shorter time if it can determine from its real-time view of the globe that waiting 1 or 5 minutes will have no tangible difference. Like with many attributes of matchmaking, we're tweaking and tracking or slicing data differently almost daily. Our engineers spend A LOT of time staring at graphs and analytics."
Respawn will also be tweaking existing game modes, adding new ones, and further improving the matchmaking system. Titanfall is also available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
