Thanks to a press release from Nintendo, we've also learned that the witch Shia is actually the sorceress Cia. Small difference, but a difference none the less. The release also reinforces the Dynasty Warriors styled gameplay: "Cut down entire legions of enemies as Link, Impa and other Legend of Zelda characters using over-the-top powerful Dynasty-Warriors-style moves. This tour de force through the beloved locales of Hyrule will have you battling the fiercest enemies in Zelda history. Think tactically and conquer missions in the most efficient way you can to save Hyrule!"
There were also a few more details on the upgrade process. As expected, you'll use rupees "to upgrade weapons and craft badges, which you can use to bolster each warrior's abilities."
As far as the environments, the first stage has been confirmed to be Hyrule Field, and famous Legend of Zelda enemis like Bokoblins and Lizalfos will appear in Hyrule Warriors - "Players must defend or reclaim areas by fighting against hordes of enemies and using different types of flashy and powerful moves."
