This will be Metro 2033's debut on a PlayStation system, while Last Light already had these HD upgrades on PC. The developer says that the new graphic effects and gameplay enhancements seen in Last Light will be present in 2033 on PS4 and Xbox One. The title was confirmed in late March following a leak of the box art that was soon confirmed by the developer.
The Metro Redux package will cost $49.99, but you can also purchase the titles individually on PSN for $24.99 each. No exact release date has been given, but developer 4A Games said to expect the games this summer.

4A Games ensures fans that Metro Redux is more than just a graphical remastering, promising to deliver gameplay upgrades too. The title will include "advanced enemy AI, improved combat and stealth mechanics, superior weapon handling and more responsive, intuitive controls". It will also include "signature features from Last Light" such as the 'mask wipe' mechanic, weapon customization, and silent kills and takedowns.
A generous inclusion is that of all past Season Pass content, which they say is roughly 10 more hours of gameplay. They've also added two different "Play Styles", which allow you to experience each campaign in different fashions.
"[Survial Mode] is a fraught slow-burn fight for survival with limited resources, deadlier enemy AI, and slower reload speeds," the press release states. "Those who enjoyed the more action oriented gameplay of Metro: Last Light can try the 'Spartan' Play Style, providing Artyom with a powerful set of combat skills and more plentiful resources."
