It will be the first title to use the PS4's new pre-download feature according to the PlayStation Knowledge Center. This means you could pre-order the title now and download the content a few days prior to launch, which will then unlock on the day of release for you to install and play, saving you the wait time. The pre-load feature is new, added in the April 1.7 PS4 update (which obviously must be installed to download the title ahead of release).
Pre-ordering Destiny will give you access to the upcoming beta, which will begin on PS3 and PS4 first starting in July. You must also register at Bungie.net and link your PSN ID to the site in order to be eligible--don't just pre-order the game and expect to get into the beta without that step.
