'Freaking Meatbags' Spotted On Steam Early Access, Use Humans As Your Playthings

Wild Factor has announced that Freaking Meatbags is now available on Steam Early Acccess. It's unclear why they would let you know this, you bag of flesh, but perhaps it's because they want you to try out what looks to be a great mix of real-time strategy and tower defense. It doesn't hurt that the game has great old-school graphics and music, looking and sounding a bit like a distant cousin of Earthbound.

Kingdom Under Fire 2 Open Beta Begins Soon

You play a cleaning robot whose job is to collect minerals from as many worlds as possible before the solar system explodes. You do this by building bases using the local talent, ie, humans, who have been enslaved through the time-tested method of brain slugs.

Lowly humans too boring for you? You can fuse alien and human DNA to create beings with new abilities, such as a human with a rocket launcher arm. Fighting the robot hordes requires you to build offensive and defensive structures and upgrade your technlogy They also promise a giant trans-dimensional space squid, although there's no word on if he'll blow up NYC.
