After countless looks at the Batmobile, Warner Bros. is changing pace for Batman: Arkham Knight, and offering a look at the man behind the wheel. A new pic is out from the publisher showing the world's greatest detective in a satellite location: Oracle's crime lab hidden high atop the Gotham clock tower.
Batman: Arkham Knight Rumors Point To Jason Todd As Titular Villain
Oracle is nowhere to be seen in the shot above, but based on previous pics that have been released, 'ol Babs is no doubt in there somewhere, likely pining for days under her own cape and cowl as Batgirl. Even after a gunshot from the clown prince of crime ended her up close and personal career against crime and confined to a wheelchair, she still continued to help Bats and the rest of the masked vigilantes in her role as Oracle.
It's unclear if Oracle's clock tower HQ will be a location players can visit whenever they like, or even interactive at all. Voice actress Kimberly Brooks had portrayed the character in both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. With other voice actors like Kevin Conroy and Tara Strong returning to reprise their respective roles, there'd be no reason to suspect that Brooks will miss out on Arkham Knight, but as of yet, no actress has been named, at least not publicly.
Batman: Arkham Knight's Kevin Conroy Describes Experience So Far- Grapnel Gun Revealed?
Barbara is one half of the Gordons that have helped out the Bat-family for years, the other being her uncle and police commissioner, James, who'll also appear in Arkham Knight, but in exactly what capacity hasn't yet been revealed.
As for the lab, we've always known Bats to have an impressive collection of wonderful toys, so expect the lab to be no different. We'll have more as Warner Bros. and developer Rocksteady makes it available. Batman: Arkham Knight is set to release for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One later this year.
