The developers behind The Witcher may have delayed the upcoming third installment of the series once, but they are quick to ensure fans that this will not be happening again.
CD Projekt Announce Witcher 3 Delay In Letter To Fans
The Witcher 3 was originally set to launch in 2014 on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, but was pushed back until February 2015. The delay was one meant to allow the game more time in development, as CD Projekt are looking to release the best possible final product.
It was not a delay made from panic or worry over finishing before a tight release deadline and, as such, CD Projekt is firmly stating that there will be no more delays.

"This is not our first game; we are not newbies," company co-founder Marcin Iwinski told Eurogamer. "It's not like 'hey we are delaying and we'll keep on delaying'. If we would think we need more time we would say 'hey we'll release it not in Feb but, I don't know, June'.
"We made the decision at the moment we were able to judge how much time we needed, and we planned it well and it works well for us. So, no more delays."
The delay came as a disappointment to most fans, as the title is highly anticipated following the thoroughly excellent Witcher 2. The game looks fantastic based on what has been shown, and was shaping up into one of the biggest releases so far on Sony and Microsoft's new consoles.
The last title already had outstanding graphics, so that aspect in particular is an exciting proposition on PS4 and Xbox One. Despite the hype, CD Projekt say it's actually been pleasantly surprised with the fan reaction.
"But we were really positively surprised with the response," he said. "It was 'hey guys, great that you have the balls to say that you take your time and you spend money on it'. Because it's not happening for free. That's a really important thing to mention."
We don't have an exact date for February 2015 on which to expect The Witcher 3, but keep an eye out for an announcement in the coming months.
