Indie title SUPERHOT is in fact super-hot, it turns out. The time-manipulating shooter passed its Kickstarter goal in just one day following a positive buzz in the media, and has 29 more days to reach newly revealed stretch goals.

The campaign was aiming for $100,000 in funding, which it has already exceeded by around $10,000. When I wrote about the title yesterday, it was already more than halfway to its goal, and had around $70,000 by the evening.
SUPERHOT is a simplistic FPS in which time only moves when you do, requiring you to channel your inner Matrix and dodge bullets coming your way. When you stand still, time slows to a barely perceptible crawl, and you need to react to shots in your direction and shoot bullets of your own. You can watch the game in the video below, and try a playable prototype in your web browser on the game's site.

New stretch goals have been set for the $120k, $150k, and $200k milestones. The first bonus is "Better Animations", at which point they will hire another 3D animator to make the game look "even nicer in motion". The next stretch goal is "Speedrun Mode", which is a pretty self-explanatory additional challenge. Finally, at $200,000 they will add replays, which would allow you to "relive your awesome actions as real-time replays", which is apparently a popular request.
There are no more goals after that as designated by a series of question marks, but you can assume the team would continue to add goals if the funding managed to approach $200,000. Given that it's more than halfway there with all but one day of the campaign to go, it's very possible that they will reach that milestone.
