We've waited quite a long time, and seen just about every new thing that's coming to Titanfall with the game's upcoming Expedition DLC map pack, and now, developer Respawn Entertainment has finally given as a date as to when we can expect all the new content.
Brief Tweets Fan Flames that Respawn is Working on Titanfall For the PS4
The first of three planned DLC "drop packs," Expedition will be upon us this time tomorrow, May 15, for both the PC and Xbox One, and as per another announcement from Respawn, will follow on the Xbox 360 next month. Seemingly sticking to tradition, a release date has not yet been given for the Xbox 360 release.
The DLC adds three new maps to the game, each with their own unique style to keep things interesting:
* Runoff - consisting of three different levels to keep players on their toes, Runoff keeps titans in the canals, while pilots can rise above on building tops, connected with billboards and sky bridges.
* War Games - a Matrix styled simulation that's wall runner's haven, this map is all for pilots, barely allowing the bulky mechs to fit through. But this "parkour playground" comes as a trade-off, as pilots are for the most part without cover, and will be forced to keep moving to avoid enemy fire.
* Swampland - a lush jungle's floor is just as dangerous as the treetop canopies, which provides crackshots with an excellent aerial view, all while the jungle fog provides snipers with some halfway decent cover. Even if you're no sniper, you can make like a monkey through the treetops and even dangle from the limbs, making yourself a hard target, Van Damme style.
