Has the rollout of Android 4.4.3 (codenamed Kitkat) been delayed? Sprint was supposed to start sending out the OS update to its Nexus 5 handsets this week, but suddenly the phone carrier took down the notice and posted a change in plans.
"Google Nexus 5 Software Update - KTU84F," the new post says, referring to the code for the 4.3.3 update. "Important Note: Due to an issue with the software, this update has been pulled out. Will update this space as soon as a new update is ready to roll out."
They did reveal what the update will have, however.
"Enhancements/Fixes-
- Enable Sprint Spark band 26 and band 41
- Misc Android updates
Important Notes
- Software version is KTU84F
- This update will be rolled out in batches."
There's no word on when it will hit, but Android users hoping for an April release now have to hope that it comes to them sometime this month. One thing's for certain- Google's Nexus cellphones are likely to get them first, as usual, and then it will start rolling out to all the other manufacturers soon after.
