There are a variety of creatures that you can fight in "Dragon's Dogma II," including the sinister Medusa, whose head you can claim for yourself.

The Medusa's Head is a very powerful item that you can get in the game that gives you the ability to inflict the petrification effect on nearly any foe. These include drakes and griffins that are otherwise tough enemies to beat.

This guide helps players learn where they can encounter a Medusa and how to get its head as a reward for defeating it. Additionally, there will be some tips on the different kinds of Medusa's head that you can get from this particular monster.

Where To Find a Medusa

This particular enemy in "Dragon's Dogma II" can be found at Wyrmsblood Forest in Battahl following your initial encounter with her in the early stages of the game. To get to this area, start from Bakbattahl and go west to Battahl Ropeway Central Station.

After that, you should climb up to the ropeway carriage that heads south and take the path to the end. You then follow the path north and go left until you see a bridge and continue following the path, according to Polygon.

You will eventually see statues along the path, and you should keep an eye on the right side of the path. What you are looking for is a cave marked by two fallen trees in an X shape. Inside is the Nera'Battahl Windrift Cave and the spawn for Medusa.

How To Get a Medusa's Head

Now that you can fight the Medusa, you can work on defeating it and getting its head for yourself. The thing to note about this is that you will have to be playing a melee vocation in order to sever the monster's head.

There are three types of heads that you can get depending on how you cut off the monster's head. The Preserved Medusa's Head, the regular Medusa's Head, and the Withered Medusa's Head, IGN said.

The first is acquired by cutting off the monster's head while she is still on her first health bar. This is easily done if you do not bring Mages who know attack spells to the fight. If you fail to get it on your first try, rest at the nearby campsite for about three to four days to have the Medusa respawn.

To sever the monster's head, you need to target it with melee attacks until it drops, which means that any excess damage is actually counterintuitive. After you get the Medusa's Head, you should try to keep it in storage as much as possible to avoid it rotting away too quickly, according to Game Rant.
