Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Release Date
The film was able to earn more than $420 million worldwide at the box office and more than half of this came from Canada and the United States. The success of the latest movie means that it was no surprise that Paramount Pictures is looking to take advantage of the hype for the series.

This means that fans are still in the dark about the plot, casting, or director of the upcoming fourth movie. However, there are many people who are talking about what they expect to see in the latest movie next year.
This follows the post-credits scene at the end of "Sonic the Hedgehog 3," which featured time travel, robots, and more fan-favorite characters from the video game franchise. There is also new concept art that suggests a time-travel or dimension-hopping plot could be in the works for "Sonic the Hedgehog 4."
Success of the Video Game Adaptation
The success of the third installment in the movie franchise follows the surprisingly well-received "Sonic the Hedgehog" and "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" that were released in 2020 and 2022, respectively, Variety said.
The first movie earned $148 million domestically and $319 million worldwide after it was initially received poorly due to the design of the titular protagonist. After a chance, however, it was quickly able to capture the hearts of fans around the world.
Another achievement of "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" is that it is the second highest-grossing video game movie of all time in North America. It has only lagged behind the animated "Super Mario Bros." movie that starred Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, and Charlie Day.
On top of the three movies, the "Sonic the Hedgehog" series also spawned a "Knuckles" TV series spin-off that stars Idris Elbra. The show also became quite successful in its own right, according to IGN.
