A new trailer for "The Blood of Dawnwalker" showcases the new project from Bandai Namco and Rebel Wolves with a cinematic and some gameplay footage.
In a press release, Rebel Wolves game director and co-founder Konrad Tomaszkiewicz said that "The Blood of Dawnwalker" was inspired by classic RPGs. He added that the team wants players to feel a sense of urgency within an open-world game.

He noted that players have multiple approaches they can take in saving the protagonist, Coen's, family. The upcoming game will have no clear division between main and side quests as players will have full freedom in deciding how they spend their time in "The Blood of Dawnwalker."
Tomaszkiewicz added that in "The Blood of Dawnwalker," time is a precious resource, and each quest will progress in its passage. He noted that it is impossible for players to complete all of the game's stories and arcs before the dreadful deadline, which makes each playthrough unique, according to Gematsu.

"The Blood of Dawnwalker" was developed on Unreal Engine 5 and is set to arrive on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. The game is set in 14th century Europe where bloody conflicts are rampant across the lands and the Black Death is plaguing survivors.
Vampires have hidden themselves in a forgotten corner of the Carpathian Mountains but have now decided to seize an opportunity. They will work on overthrowing the local feudal lords and claim what has been denied of them for centuries: freedom.
An Open World With Limited Time
The game was originally revealed almost a year ago and is a new dark fantasy action RPG from the creators of "The Witcher III: The Wild Hunt." "The Blood of Dawnwalker is Rebel Wolves' debut title, Eurogamer said.
While the latest trailer for the game was quite lengthy, there wasn't much that was shared regarding the story and gameplay. However, Bandai Namco said that players will need to take advantage of their skills.
The publisher said they will have to combine "vampiric strength with human resolve" as they go on an adventure to save the protagonist's love. Tomaszkiewicz previously suggested that "The Blood of Dawnwalker" would not be as big as "The Witcher" franchise.
The trailer for the game introduces players to Coen as he tries to save his daughter, Luka, who has been stricken with the Black Death. The footage showed a group of human authoritative figures trying to kill her to stop the spread of the disease, according to Game Spot.
