'Palworld' Releases Feybreak Update: New Mode, Pals, Items, and More

PocketPair recently released the Feybreak update for "Palworld," which introduced a ton of new content, including Hardcore mode, new items, bosses, and more.

All of the new stuff that has been added to the game with the nlatestpatch seems to dwarf even the size of the Sakurajima update before it. This is a massive feat, as the latter already added a brand new island for players to explore.

Palworld's Feybreak Update

The first thing that you will notice following the Feybreak update is that the level cap has been increased to 60. This means that there will be more tech options for players to unlock that will improve their overall power.

This would be recommended so you can start taking on the game's new Hardcore mode that turns on permadeath for both you and your Pals. The new area added in the latest patch features the new Hexolite Quartz, according to MMORPG.

This can only be found within Feybreak, and players can also visit it simply for the New Area Discovery Bonus. This is a relatively massive boost to experience that can be acquired by just finding a new area.

There are also a variety of new enemies to encounter, such as the Xenolord, who is described as a "dark mechanical dragon" who controls the Xeno army. New mini-bosses, known as Predator Pals, were also introduced, and they are more rigid and stronger variants of regular Pals.

A variety of new Pals have also been added to "Palworld," and there are an estimated 20 to 30 new species to fight and capture. A new raid was also part of the update that is somewhat related to the Xenolord, Sports Illustrated said.

A Ton of New Content and Features

The Terraria crossover is one of the more notable additions to the game, with the Meowmere sword making headlines. This is a new weapon that uses the new Predator Core items that are acquired from Predator Pals.

The Meowmere sword is a potent weapon that can also fire off projectiles to act like a hybrid melee-ranged weapon. You can now also craft a Pal Expedition Station that lets you send out Pals on trips to gather resources.

This was added as another way to get resources, but it can also be a dangerous endeavor. This means that you should carefully choose which Pals you send out so they are not left helpless against what they could encounter.

Everything added in the new Feybreak update successfully attracted returning and new players, causing "Palworld" to peak at around 170,000 players in December 2024. This comes as the game recently dipped in player count in the past few months, according to Techno Wize.
