Developer Treyarch just released a new limited-time event for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, known as Jingle Hells, that brings a Liberty Falls map decorated with holiday-themed items.
The festive gear that adorns the map includes wreaths, ribbons, twinkling lights, Christmas trees, and garlands of fir tree bunting. On top of the visual changes, the limited-time event also mixes up the Zombies mode.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Jingle Hells Event
What this means is that there are no mystery boxes, crafting tables, or arsenal machines that will be seen during this event. One of the changes is that the Main Quest is available for players to complete but has the added challenge of not giving you a chance to use Arsenal and Crafting Tables.
One thing worth noting here is that players can still earn the standard Main Quest completion rewards if they are able to finish the quest during the Jingle Hells event. You can also expect to hear some bespoke audio that brings a festive vibe to the map, according to Pure Xbox.

The update also brings Gobblegum Gifts, which are said to be the best way to earn the "Holiday Cheer" Gobblegum. You will also be able to gather up to five snowballs from various piles that are scattered throughout the map and can be used as lethal projectiles.
There are also Snowmen that were added to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 that are scattered across the Liberty Falls map. If these are left intact, they can hide zombies or loot, and you should make them your priority targets.
A Holiday-Themed Celebration
The Call of Duty blog also confirmed more details for CODMAS 2024, which is the franchise's way of celebrating the Christmas holiday. There will be a massive floating stocking that will reward players with various power-up presents or can even spawn enemies, Game Rant said.
There are also present boxes that, under certain circumstances, be dropped by zombies and can be opened for a gift that keeps on giving. The limited-time event brings the S.A.M.T.A. Trials that can be accessed through computers that appear around the map.
You can also encounter special rounds where freezing winds will occasionally blow through the map. If you stay outside during this time, you will freeze and slow down, which makes shelter an important part of your strategy.
The official start date of Jingle Hells in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is Dec. 17, 2024, and the developer has not yet announced an end date for the event, according to Sportskeeda.
