Developer Hazelight Studios is reportedly set to reveal more details about its next project. This follows the success of the co-op game It Takes Two.
The latest information comes from reliable leaker billbil-kun of Dealabs who said that the studio is planning to release the game, Split Fiction, on Mar. 6, 2025. The title will apparently be available on PC and unspecified consoles.
Hazelight Studios' Next Game
Hazelight Studios is allegedly planning to share a new trailer for the upcoming game later this month, most likely during next week's The Game Awards. The event is scheduled for Dec. 12, 2024.
The studio's founder, Josef Fares, also shared a teaser for Hazelight Studios' yet-to-be-announced game earlier this year. He uploaded an enigmatic post on social media that talked about a brand new IP called "S*** ******N."

The leak comes as the studio revealed in October 2024 that It Takes Two has sold more than 20 million copies since it was released in 2021. This showed that the co-op game was able to sell an additional 4 million copies since March 2024. That was when the studio announced that it sold 16 million copies, according to Eurogamer.
Josef Fares has been at the helm of Hazelight Studios since the developer brought titles such as A Way Out and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. These two and It Takes Two were all published under Electronic Arts' Originals banner.
Another Co-op Adventure Game
The studio's upcoming game, Split Fiction, also has the potential to be a great title as Hazelight Studios won numerous awards for its previous works. It Takes Two was the most successful and was nominated for many others.
Split Fiction is believed to be another one of the developer's co-op adventure games as it has a successful run with such titles. Fans have known for quite some time that Hazelight Studios and Fares have been working on a new game, WCCFTech said.
This has been apparent with the number of social media posts that alluded to the new project being developed. There are currently no other details about Split Fiction other than the potential information that was leaked.
Hazelight Studios began with Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons in 2013 and then made A Way Out in 2018. It Takes Two took inspiration from both of these titles and combined their approaches into a beautiful yet emotional adventure about divorce and the effect it has on the children of the family, according to Kotaku.
