'King of Fighters XV' Will Get Mature, Vice DLC Characters This December

Developer SNK Corporation revealed the official date for King of Fighters XV getting Mature and Vice as DLC characters.

The two characters will be available in the game starting on Dec. 12, 2024, which is also when the game's Ultimate Edition is set to launch alongside a 2.40 rebalancing patch. The Ultimate Edition will cost $59.99, which is currently the price of the base game.

King of Fighters XV DLC

The new edition will include both the base game as well as Team Passes 1 and 2, the Fighter Pass, Mature and Vice, the Terry Bogard Garou costume, and the Leona classic costume. The developer has not yet revealed what is coming next for King of Fighters XV or the franchise as a whole.

What fans know so far is that SNK is currently working on Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, which will feature many mainstays from the King of Fighters franchise. These include Mai Shiranui, the Bogard brothers, and Rock Howard, according to Siliconera.

Mature, voiced by Yu Shimamura, once considered herself one of the Hakkesshu, who are eight fervent acolytes plotting the resurrection of the divine Orochi. This particular character moves fast and has fluid motions when attacking other characters.

On the other hand is Vice, who is voiced by Mayumi Saco, and was also among the loyal followers of the Hakkesshu previously. She has a frail statute that can lead others to mistakenly judge her and her violent ruthlessness. Vice has unbridled strength and is capable of brutal attacks, Gematsu said.

Mature and Vice

Mature comes to King of Fighters XV with her signature slashing swipes as well as the ability to explode enemies in the corner. On the other hand, Vice brings back her iconic arm whips and devastating grabs.

The two upcoming DLC characters will be able to deal even more potential damage with constant access to EX specials and other new tools. The developer also confirmed that all characters in King of Fighters XV will receive balance adjustments or changes next week.

The studio has not yet officially confirmed that King of Fighters XV is complete with Mature and Vice being added. However, there is something else that gives fans the idea that this could be the case.

These are the Ultimate Edition coming soon as well as Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves releasing in April 2025. These all seem to imply that SNK is already done with King of Fighters XV three years after its release, according to Event Hubs.
