Developer Playground Games is set to release the Holiday Mix-Up update for Forza Horizon 5 that will introduce new cars, an event, and many more.
The game was originally released more than three years ago for Xbox and PC platforms. The upcoming update is like patches rolled into one to give Playground Games a break over the holiday season.
Forza Horizon 5 Holiday Mix-Up Update
The first half of the Holiday Mix-Up update will focus on various festivities and introduce some new vehicles to the game. The second half will feature the "Extreme Horizon" which will also add one new car and many other interesting features.
The Holiday Mix-Up update will introduce a total of six new cars throughout the entirety of the celebrations that last two months. The first five include the 2006 Mercedes-Benz E 55 AMG Wagon and the 2021 Bentley Flying Spur.
The single vehicle that is coming in the second half is the 1965 DeBerti Design Chevrolet C10 "Slayer." In December 2024, the update will make the game alternate between two festive themes, according to Windows Central.

The first and third weeks will bring the Winter Wonderland Stadium while the second and fourth weeks will have the popular Ice Rink. Players will be able to explore Stunt Park once more when January 2025 rolls around.
Creators also get something juicy in the upcoming update as the EventLab is getting four new build stubs. They will be permanently added to the Forza Horizon 5 map alongside Extreme Horizon. This gives you more locations to build your creations.
New Cars and Events
The update also has some fixes and patches to smoothen out gameplay and make the gaming experience even better. This includes fixing an issue that caused backfire to appear on the side of the 1970 GMC Jimmy instead of its back, Neowin said.
Furthermore, the developer also teased the content update coming in February 2025, Midnight Muscle. This will reportedly bring back the extended nighttime, add even more cars and events, and allow players to customize their start screen experience.
Despite being two updates rolled into one, some players feel like the Holiday Mix-Up update is still relatively lowkey. They are hoping that Playground Games makes use of its rest time throughout the holiday to be able to kick into high gear next year.
A lot of people have felt that Forza Horizon 5's updates have started to feel relatively similar to each other every month in recent times, according to MSN.
