The Dual Destiny season for Pokemon GO is right around the corner and Niantic teased new Galar region Pokemon and other details about the upcoming update.

One of the things being added to the game is the Young and Wise event that will begin on Dec. 10, 2024. This event will feature one of the variants of the Pokemon Genesect. The Dual Destiny Season officially begins on Dec. 3, 2024.

The variety of new content that will be coming to the game was designed to keep the community even more engaged with Pokemon GO. Another major addition here is the return of Necrozma in an event that features its fusions with the legendary Pokemon Lunala and Solgaleo.

Players will also be able to take on new challenges with Shadow Raids as the Dual Destiny season introduces Shadow Regice, Regirock, and Registeel. Hoopa is another Pokemon that is making a comeback in the new season following its 2021 debut and 2022 reappearance, according to Game Rant.

Niantic recently revealed the Young and Wise event that will feature Genesect Chill Drive. It is the boss of the 5-star raids in the upcoming season. One of the highlights of the event is that Mythical Pokemon will become available until Dec. 12, 2024.

Mega Raids that feature Mega Banette will also end and be replaced by raids that feature Mega Latios. There are also a variety of one-star raids for Jangmo-o and four other Pokemon as well as three-star raids for Drampa and three others.

A new loading screen also teased the new Galar region Pokemon that will be coming to Niantic's VR game. This is the Corviknight line, which starts from a Rookidee that evolves into a Corvisquire, Pokemon GO Hub said.

A Ton of New Content

Another lineup being added to Pokemon GO is Fidough and Dachsbun, the adorable baked dog Pokemon. The loading screen does not outright show these two as Fidough can be seen between the trailer and a Snorlax.

One non-new Pokemon shown in the loading screen that is worth noting is Dedenne as it can be seen wearing a holiday-themed outfit. Some fans believe that this could hint at potential new costume/s that may arrive during the holiday season.

The situation comes as Pokemon GO has added a new Box to the online store based on the upcoming Dual Destiny season. It includes one of the game's worst storage upgrade options since launch.

But the latest item added, the Dual Destiny Box, was described as a rip-off as it upgrades the storage for postcards and not Pokemon or item storage, according to Dexerto.
