Epic Games just revealed the free title that players will be able to get this week at no cost and also teased the two games that will be coming for next week's offer.
You can now get developer Blowfish's 2023 title Brotato, which will be free to download until Dec. 5, 2024. This game is a top-down arena shooter roguelite where you take control of the titular potato protagonist.
Free Epic Games Store Title
Players are tasked with fighting off waves of aliens. This title currently has an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam. This is an indication that it is really good.
Epic Games also revealed two titles that will be free next week and are Bus Simulator 21 and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The latter is notable because it is a retelling of all three Star Wars movie trilogies in LEGO format, according to Eurogamer.

It also combines the games with some exploration elements and collectible gathering that take place across a large selection of open-world planets. Some players described LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga as a humorous and fun game.
Brotato has a 4.9 out of 5 rating on the Epic Games Store and has a 96% approval rating across more than 80,000 user reviews on Steam. The official elevator pitch for the game is that a spaceship from Potato World crashed onto an alien planet.
Deep and Immersive Brotato
The sole survivor of the incident is Brotato, who is capable of handling six different weapons at the same time. He is now waiting for rescue from his colleagues and must survive in a hostile environment until then, Comic Book said.
The entire game can be beaten in about five hours if you only focus on the main story. But for completionists' sake, you would need roughly 50 to 60 hours. It is also good to note that Brotato has very good replayability and will not be boring to play again and again.
The large gap in playtime between the main story and a complete run is actually what makes Brotato popular with a lot of people. It caters to gamers who are looking for a bite-sized game to play and also for people who want a deeper experience.
Brotato also added co-op support in one of its more recent updates that made the arena shooter even more popular than it was. This and the fact that it is free for a limited time makes it a great pickup, according to Game Rant.
