Players can encounter a variety of creatures in Dave the Diver that all fill a certain role within the game's world.

One of these is seahorses that you can capture and use in the variety of recipes that use up seahorses or seadragon species. You can also use the sea creatures you capture in the Seahorse Racing minigame.

This guide helps players learn how to catch seahorses and other small creatures in Dave the Diver. There are also some tips here about what you can do to make the whole process a bit easier.

Getting the Bug Net

If you want to catch seahorses, you will have to have the Bug Net, which cannot be bought from Duff. This is a tool that is also not found in a weapon cache in the Blue Hole. To get the item, you need to complete a request from Maki.

The NPC will show up in the players' sushi bar during the second chapter and will ask you to make Kombu and White Trevally Ochazuke. To finish this mission, you need White Trevally, Soy Sauce, and Kelp, according to IGN.

Both the Kelp and Soy Sauce can be found in the Shallows area if you do not already have them on you. The former is freestanding and the latter can be found in red pots. On the other hand, White Trevally is located between 50 meters and 130 meters in the Blue Hole.

After cooking the meal for Maki, you will receive the Bug Net that allows you to catch animals you cannot reach with the harpoon. These include Seahorses and other small creatures, such as Clione.

Where To Find Seahorses

When you have the Bug Net and want to catch seahorses, you will need to look around during the daytime. There are a variety of species of seahorses that you can find, including Big-Belly and Jayakar at zero to 50 meters of depth, The Gamer.

If you are instead looking for Dwarf or Giraffe seahorses, you need to go a little bit deeper at 50 meters to 130 meters. For the harder-to-find species, you need to go from 130 meters to 250 meters. These include Crowned and Lined seahorses.

Catching Seahorses

You need to keep your eyes peeled when trying to find seahorses as they are relatively difficult to spot. Catching seahorses is actually simple. You just need to swim up to them and press the spacebar when prompted by the game.

All of the seahorses that you capture will be three-star catches because you have not hurt them in any way. These are fascinating creatures that you can find throughout the Blue Hole, according to Screen Rant.
