Nintendo has released Mario and Luigi Wii remotes over the last couple years, but what about fans of some of the other Mario franchise staples?
No, Nintendo still hasn't released details on a Toad or Bowser Wii remote yet, but there will now be Peach and Yoshi remotes, at least. Nintendo released details via the Nintendo of Europe Twitter yesterday, tweeting out a picture of the two new members of the family. The two new remotes will be releasing on May 30, the same day as Mario Kart 8.
This got me thinking... which other characters should get the Wii remote treatment? Here's my top five:
Bowser - I know I said Bowser and Toad above, but honestly, who really cares that much about Toad? But Bowser, dude, I'd buy that in a second. Especially because his orange/yellow/green color scheme would look really cool.
Donkey Kong - There's already a couple of DK games out for Wii and Wii U, why not give the ape his own controller? Best part is, you could make a banana-themed nunchuk to go with it!
Wario - You've got Mario and Luigi, so you've got to hit Wario next, right? Personally, he's just about my favorite Nintendo character ever. And it'd make for a really cool looking remote with his purple and yellow color scheme. (Don't care about Waluigi, though.)
Pikachu - Pikachu has had his own N64, Game Boy Advance and other accessories, so why not a Wii remote? You can never have too much Pikachu.
Samus - I think this would be a great idea, but only if they do it right. Don't just make it Samus colors, make it look like a Samus blaster. That would be sick.
