Players can face a variety of unique bosses in Baldur's Gate 3 and Grym the Adamantine Golem is one of them.

This boss in particular is very useful as you have to defeat him in order to gain access to the Adamantine Forge. This area lets you forge various powerful items using different materials that you gather from the world.

Grym the Adamantine Golem is a dangerous and nearly invulnerable piece of machinery and is arguably one of the most challenging bosses in the game's first act. This is primarily because of his massive health pool and various immunities and resistances.

This guide teaches players some of the specific strategies and tactics that can be used to make the fight with Grym the Adamantine Golem a bit easier to handle. These recommendations can still be used even on the new Honor Mode difficulty.

Players can encounter this particular boss at the end of their quest to locate and use the Adamantine Forge in order to craft Adamantine Gear. During this quest, you will explore the Grymforge and collect various gear molds and Mithral Ore for the creation process, according to Screen Rant.

You will be able to choose from six different items to forge but can only craft two because of limited resources. Players also need to defeat Grym the Adamantine Golem before they can collect any of the items.

Defeating the Boss

In order to defeat Grym the Adamantine Golem, you will need to have a strong party composition. It is also recommended to have several companions who either have high mobility or are very tanky to take hits.

Another thing to prepare is using ranged weapons as they let you keep your distance from the boss while still dealing damage. The boss is immune to damage unless it has the Superheated debuff. This is only applied whenever it touches lava.

Grym the Adamantine Golem will target the last character that dealt damage to him. This means that you can somewhat influence who receives the most damage from the boss' attacks. You should ideally make this character be on top of the mold box, Game Spot said.

Another way to damage the boss is by causing the piston in the area to slam on top of it. This is the reason why you want Grym the Adamantine Golem to target your character who is standing on top of the mold box.

The boss will most likely stand in the center of the machinery when targeting the character standing on the mold box. When the time is right, pull the control lever to smash him with the piston.

Be wary as the first time you do this, the boss will spawn six Mephit enemies that you preferably should defeat using spells and ranged weapons. You need to hit the boss with the piston multiple times in order to defeat it.

When you finally beat the boss, you can pick up your rewards from the Mould Chamber. This will also complete the Adamantine Forge side quest in Baldur's Gate 3, according to Eurogamer.
