In Black Myth: Wukong, players can unlock the Painted Realm location where players can go to upgrade their armor, make medicines, and get ingredients.

This guide helps players learn how they can unlock the Painted Realm so that they can have their own one-stop shop for a lot of things they need to do. What you do need to keep in mind is that this location can only be unlocked during the third chapter of the game.

The Painted Realm

Getting to the Painted Realm is relatively easy as you only need to acquire the Ruyi Scroll that will transport you to the area you are looking for. But actually getting this scroll is the hard part of the quest ahead of you. To get the Ruyi Scroll, you need to overcome several difficult challenges.

The first thing you need to do is find and defeat the boss Chen Loong, who is located near the North Shore of the Bitter Lake Keeper's Shrine. Starting from the shrine, face the lake and go right, walking along the shore, according to Screen Rant.

After you defeat Chen Loong, you can talk to him and he tells you that one of Xu Dog's Resurrection Pills can save him. The boss will then move to a small dwelling along the lake shore.

Next, you need to meet Xu Dog who can craft the Resurrection Pills that you need to help Chen Loong. When you get the item, go back to the boss you defeated and he will reward you with the Ruyi Scroll.

What can you Find in the Painted Realm?

After you get to the Painted Realm, you will encounter the Shen Monkey who will offer various services to the player. These include upgrading Gourds and Drinks. You can also brew your own drinks and soaks and buy a variety of items, Epic Games said.

Xu Dog will also be residing in this location which will let you make medicines that will be useful on your journey. You can either request or make your own and the NPC gives you a chance to remake Celestial Medicines.

The boss you defeated, Chen Loon, will also be in this area and he will offer gardening services. You can give him any seed that you acquire from your travels and he will plant them himself. This is a useful mechanic as it can give you up to eight of a particular common herb and some rare variants.

The Yin Tiger, after you beat him, will also stay in the Painted Realm and provide his assistance to the Destined One. These include crafting weapons and armor as well as upgrading armor to gain better stats, according to Sports Illustrated.
