Activision announced an update regarding the upcoming Xbox Cloud Gaming service. This is that three games in the highly popular Call of Duty franchise will be included on Day One.

The titles include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone. The last game included is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This update will drop on Oct. 25, 2024, for Game Pass Ultimate members and comes alongside the launch of the latest entry in the series.

Call of Duty Games on Xbox Cloud Gaming

Microsoft released a blog post noting that this marks a first in the Call of Duty franchise as well as a major victory for the community. The studio added that players will be able to access several games in the franchise with Xbox Cloud Gaming to enjoy an experience they have never had before.

The development means that Ultimate Game Pass members can experience the included games on consoles and PC. They can also experience the games on mobile devices and some Amazon Fire TVs and Meta Quest devices, according to Eurogamer.

Microsoft also noted that the upcoming update will open up a variety of ways for fans to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 when it launches. The situation comes after the company agreed in August last year to sell the streaming rights for Activision Blizzard games to Ubisoft.

The president of the company, Brad Smith, said at the time that the change would mean Microsoft would not control the "exclusive" rights to stream Activision Blizzard titles. He added that they will not be in a position to release Activision Blizzard games exclusively on their own cloud streaming service.

The update comes as the latest game in the series is set to launch for consoles. This is excluding the Nintendo Switch. It will also be the first entry in the franchise to be added to Game Pass immediately, IGN said.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

The upcoming title will feature three different modes. This is the standard for the franchise. These modes are single-player, multiplayer, and classic zombies. The developers also emphasized how the latest game in the series was developed with a return to tradition in mind.

The game's main campaign is set in the and follows Troy Marshall and Frank Woods. The duo try to uncover a highly dangerous spy infiltration of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

You should try to remember the events that happened in the first two Call of Duty: Black Ops titles. This is because they will be relevant to the latest game's story. Players should also expect a variety of intense linear missions, according to Game Rant.
