Monster Hunter Now is an augmented reality (AR) game by Capcom that takes the popular series and turns it into a mobile version.
The title's Halloween update brings back some content from previous spooky seasons, such as the Jack-o'-Head armor. It also introduces a lot of new stuff, including the new weapon Cawscythe and the armor Ghost Balloon.
Monster Hunter Now's Halloween 2024 Event
Players will also get the opportunity to collect this year's exclusive Halloween hunter medal and guild card background. Furthermore, there is a limited-time pack that is filled with Halloween-themed layered equipment that you can purchase from the shop.
Monster Hunter Now's Halloween 2024 update will introduce the Haunted Weapon as well as the Phantom Friend events. In the former, players will have to complete quests that require them to gather Lollipop Candy and take down various large monsters to collect Pumpkin Tickets and Spooky Tickets, according to Monster Hunter Now.
The former is used to forge and upgrade Jack-o'-Head armor that debuted during last year's Halloween event. On the other hand, the latter is used to forge and upgrade the newly introduced Halloween weapon, Cawscythe.

The next event is Phantom Friend, where you will have to complete various quests where you need to take down large monsters to acquire Ghost Balloon Tickets. These can be used to forge and upgrade the new Halloween armor, Ghost Balloon.
The mobile AR Monster Hunter game also features various codes that players can redeem for rewards that can be used in-game. However, it is worth noting that the majority of these codes have a set time of when they can be redeemed, Sportskeeda said.

They will expire if you don't redeem the codes within this period. You are then no longer able to get the rewards they offer. You can redeem these codes through the website. This is because there is no way to do so inside the game itself.
Now is probably the best time for eager players to start getting into the world of the Monster Hunter franchise. Other than Monster Hunter Now, there are several active communities that work together to hunt various monsters.
Furthermore, Capcom is releasing the latest entry in the series, Monster Hunter Wilds, on Feb. 28, 2025. The title introduces a lot of new features as well as making some changes to existing mechanics that make the gaming experience even smoother for a lot of players.
With its latest game, Capcom is trying to take everything it has learned up to Monster Hunter Rise to make the best game in the franchise, according to Screen Rant.
