Black Myth: Wukong has only been around for a few weeks, but there are already rumors circulating about the release of its DLC. In fact, an industry insider has revealed that the DLC is scheduled for release early next year.
It should be noted that Game Science, the game's developer and publisher, has not officially confirmed the release date of the DLC, as of press time. However, according to a report, Hero Games CEO Daniel Wu has confirmed that an expansion to the game is already being planned.
Hero Games is the single largest investor of Game Science.
Rumored Release Window for the DLC
According to industry insider Daniel Camilo, the DLC will release sometime around Chinese New Year next year. Chinese New Year falls on a January.
"That is, right at the end of January, or very soon after. This is according to very reliable firsthand sources I heard from," Camilo elaborated.

'Black Myth: Wukong'
Released on August 20, 2024, Black Myth: Wukong is an action role-playing game (RPG) based on a classicial Chinese novel called Journey to the West. As previously mentioned, the game is developed and published by Game Science.
The story of the game follows an anthropomorphic monkey who is based on a character in Journey to the West known as Sun Wukong. The game is available for the PlayStation 5 and Windows. It will be released for the Xbox Series X/S at a later date.
