Blizzard detailed its plans of celebratory activities and events for World of Warcraft's upcoming 20th anniversary.

The company shared a long list of upcoming activities and features on its site detailing what exactly fans of the popular MMORPG can expect to get for this year's festivities. One of the major things in the celebrations is a new type of currency, Bronze Celebration Tokens.

These are tokens that players will be able to earn by taking part in quests and activities throughout the 20th-anniversary event. They can then use these tokens to buy a variety of stuff, such as returning items from previous anniversaries and even new ones.

Another feature that players can expect is being able to join Moira Bronzebeard as the bronze dragonflight grants her a look back in history. It will guide you all through a journey through eight epic boss raid encounters, according to Blizzard.

When the anniversary update drops, players will be able to queue for this epic raid using the Raid Finder, which can be accessed through the Group Finder Hotkey I. They can also choose to create their own groups of 10 to 15 players by talking with Moira about Normal and Heroic difficulties.

Blizzard also made the decision to modernize some very classic Tier 2 sets for all classes available in World of Warcraft. These include ones that did not exist at the time that the sets were initially introduced, such as Monks and Evokers.

Despite being very outdated compared to the game's brand new sets that were designed for modern raids, these modernized equipment are sure to be popular among players, said Polygon.

For those who are a little bit less interested in raiding and combat in World of Warcraft, the game is also setting up new lower-pressure activities to enjoy. These include an ice rink, a pet corner, an in-game cosplay booth, a small theater that is staffed by Lorewalker Cho, as well as a mount competition.

A Long List of Activities and Features

Additionally, there are a variety of new rewards that you can unlock, such as an icy phoenix that was inspired by the Ashes of Al'ar as well as a baby Dreadlord pet.

World of Warcraft's 20th anniversary will also add new transmog options for various equipment in the game that players can choose from. These were inspired on the helm, shield, sword, and ring that were rewarded in real life to Blizzard employees at certain milestones.

World of Warcraft's 20th anniversary celebrations will start when the game's 11.0.5 patch arrives but Blizzard has not yet shared an official release date for it.

Fortunately, the studio said that you will not have to wait long to test it on the game's public test realm. Based on previous anniversary events, many players speculate that this year's celebration could happen sometime in November, according to GameSpot.
