Yesterday marked the exciting announcement of the newest Skylanders game, Skylanders Trap Team, but what about the new little guys themselves?
Well, we got a look at every confirmed new figure in depth during the game's hands-off preview, and they're all right in the slideshow gallery above for your viewing pleasure. Here's a brief description of each:
Snap Shot - A water type Skylander, Snap Shot will be one of the figures included in the new game's starter pack. He will be every player's first Trap Master, a new special type of Skylander that deals extra damage to trappable characters. Armed with a traptanium bow, this guy can do his damage from range or up close with his giant traptanium arrow.
Food Fight - Food Fight is a life Skylander, and a standard character. He will also be included in the starter pack with Snap Shot and two traptanium crystals. Food Fight uses a tomato launcher as a ranged attack, but his gun also has a close range shotgun attack.
Wildfire - Wildfire is another Trap Master Skylander, and he comes equipped with a giant shield. He looks pretty awesome - a giant golden lion armed with a big red traptanium shield, Wildfire will be (you guessed it!) a fire Skylander.
Wallop - Wallop was the last confirmed Trap Master at the event. An earth type, he does indeed look like he will pack a wallop with dual traptanium hammers. He also looks like he could pass for Dune Bug's older brother. Or at least a big beefy cousin or something.
Chopper - Chopper stole the show as far as I was concerned. He's a tech type dinosaur Skylander, and while he's only a standard character, his attacks are bonkers. His primary attack is shooting missiles (and you can unlock dual homing missiles) and his secondary attack is a bad breath attack that pushes enemies backwards while doing damage. He can also fly. Yes, he's a flying miniature T-Rex, which is both adorable and terrifying. The perfect Skylander.
Funny Bone - Funny Bone is a little bit of a mystery. While he wasn't on display during the demo, I found him in one of the display cases and asked a developer for his name. He's an undead type for sure, and he's some kind of bone creature. He kinda looks like a mix between a dragon and a dog. That's about all I could glean just from looking at him.
