At some point in your life, you've probably played hide-and-seek. It's one of the most iconic children's games that is known around the world, and this game is the premise of today's #SteamSpotlight featured title.
However, today's feature has a twist to this beloved classis. You won't just be a group of friends playing hide-and-seek. One of you gets to play as a hunter while the rest get to play as deer.
Yes, deer. You read that right.

Released on June 28, 2024, Oh Deer is developed and published by Cozy Cabin Studios. It is a multiplayer stealth game that, as previously mentioned, is inspired by a good ol' game of hide-and-seek.
Like what was also mentioned earlier, one player gets to be the hunter while the rest are deer. The game is set in a lush forest that has a lot of hiding places, such as trees and bushes.

Hunter vs Deer
If you get to play as the hunter, You'll have to rely on sound and the use of gadgets to spot the deer. The goal is to eliminate all players who are deer. However, it should be noted that not all deer you see in the game are actually players.
On the other hand, if you get to play as a deer, you have to evade the hunter as much as you can, particularly through blending in with all the non-player deer. Playing the game as a deer is not as simple as it looks as you will be required to eat to keep your energy up. Eating at the wrong time can expose you to the hunter.

Steam Reviews for Oh Deer
As of press time, Oh Deer has more than 1,300 reviews on Steam. These reviews are generally classified by Steam as "Very Positive."
"This game is an amazing party game, just doing hide-and-seek with your friends," a user named Lokathor said in a Steam review. "It's short matches and it's all very goofy so it doesn't feel bad regardless of winner and loser."
NecroNymph95 said in a separate review, "I thoroughly enjoyed this game!"
"The absolute chaos is incredibly fun," NecroNymph95 added. "I love pretending to be a deer, avoiding hunters, and creating as much mayhem for them as possible."
