Mafia Series
The Mafia series made its debut in 2002 with the release of the first mainline entry. The game was followed by a sequel, Mafia II, which was released eight years after the first game. Mafia III, on the other hand, was released in 2016.
The first game has since been remade and released as Mafia: Definitive Edition in 2020. Mafia II was remastered in the same year.
Both the second and third installments have story expansion packs that were eventually released. It remains to be seen if the fourth game will follow this trend after its release.
