Fantasian Neo Dimension finally got a rating from the ESRB ahead of the enhanced version's official release window of "Holiday 2024."
Square Enix announced during the June Nintendo Direct that it was working on an enhanced version of Mistwalker's turn-based Apple Arcade RPG Fantasian. It was said to become available on several platforms, including the Switch, when it finally launches.
Fantasian Neo Dimension Gets ESRB Rating
Now, Fantasian Neo Dimension, from the maker of the Final Fantasy series Hironobu Sakaguchi, has been rated by the ESRB. There are also new details that have been revealed about the upcoming game.
Previously, the only release information that the community knew was that it was set for a launch in "Holiday 2024." But so far, it seems like Fantasian Neo Dimension is still on track to follow this release window, according to NintendoLife.
The game got an "E" rating, for everyone, and it includes fantasy violence, mild blood, mild suggestive themes, and use of alcohol and tobacco. The official summary also notes that it is a role-playing game where players will take control of a treasure hunter on a dangerous quest to regain his lost memory.

In Fantasia Neo Dimension, players will be able to explore a fantasy world, interact with various characters, recruit new members, and engage in battle against human enemies and fantasy creatures. The latter is said to include golems, giant skeletons, robot sentries, and many others.
Players will be able to choose different weapon strikes and magic spells using a menu and the game's battles are highlighted by light bursts and screen-shaking effects. The ESRB also noted that there was one boss creature that had blood streaks on its mask and armor, said MyNintendoNews.
What Players Can Expect To See
The game features still-screen images that depict blood drops on the ground and dripping from a character's face. There are also a handful of female characters who are said to have been designed with suggestive features. These were described as deep cleavage and slight breast jiggle.
The ESRB said in its summary that during players' run through the game, they will also encounter characters who are drunk and later see a background image that depicts a character smoking a cigar.
Fantasian Neo Dimension was developed by Mistwalker for Apple Arcade and was launched in 2021. Longtime Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu also contributed by writing the game's music.
The team also made each in-game scene and town using real-world dioramas that were scanned into the game engine, according to GameSpot.
