Who is Emio?

According to a report, what is known about Emio is that he is an urban legend infamously known for wearing a paper bag mask with a smiling face on it. As the story goes, Emio has committed multiple murders two decades ago.

Players have to identify if the Emio from decades ago has made a return or if someone else is now wearing the mask. In the upcoming game, the player will take on the role of the assistant of a private investigator as they work together to uncover the identity of Emio.

Famicon Detective Club

Nintendo has revealed that Emio - The Smiling Man is actually a sequel to the Famicon Detective Club games. Famicon Detective Club is an adventure game duology developed and published by Nintendo. Both games centered around a man who is working to solve murders.

The first game in the duology, The Missing Heir, was released in 1988. A prequel was released one year later, titled The Girl Who Stands Behind

Both games were released for the Family Computer Disk System.
