Arkane Studio founder Raphael Colantonio talked about a new game that is being developed by WolfEye Studios which he said should make fans of Dishonored and Prey very happy.

Colantonio said that they will be revealing more information about the project in the next few days. The tease comes a few months after WolfEye Studios pitched its next game during Game Developers Conference 2024.

The studio also provided a small tease, that it is a retro sci-fi RPG and some fans are speculating that it could be as close as they can get to a new Dishonored or Prey kind of game. It comes as Arkane Austin was just shut down earlier this year, according to GameSpot.

On the other hand, there is still a possibility that Dishonored 3 could come in the future as it had appeared in an old release schedule document. This was during the FTC trial for the Microsoft and Activision Blizzard merger.

The studio's debut title, Weird West, was launched in 2022 and was available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It also got ports for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S a year later.

Colantonion co-founded WolfEye Studios with CEO Julien Roby, who is a former executive producer at Arkane. The latter had spent more than a decade at his previous company before working as a producer on Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Mafia 3 at 2K, said the Video Games Chronicle.

Making Dishonored and Prey Fans Happy

Arkane was founded in 1999 and the studio made a small but lasting mark with the Ultima Underworld-inspired Arx Fatalis. Following that came the Dark Messiah of Might and Magic that many people believe did not get the love that it rightfully deserved.

Then came Dishonored, which is the title that actually put Arkane on the radar but Colantonio left the studio after the release of Prey. Roby said in 2023 that WolfEye Studios signed a deal with venture fund Galaxy Interactive to develop a "more ambitious" new game.

The latest tease comes a year after that and marks the beginning of fans getting more information about this mysterious project. There are some players who are hoping for a sequel for Arx Fatalis.

Despite the development, it doesn't seem like the public will be getting an in-depth look at the new project by WolfEye Studios. This is because Colantonio said that the studio is showing it to "industry partners" but not the press or the public just yet, according to PCGamer.
