Another Elden Ring patch is live, and one change in particular has been widely requested since the game's release: simpler Torrent mechanics in the thick of a fight.

Key Change to Torrent Mechanics
This is actually a very frustrating scenario that happened to most players, especially in boss fights: While mounted with Torrent, if his steed was hit with an attack, players would need to use the Spectral Steed Whistle to revive him. However, the game would spring a window on the player that asked if they wished to revive Torrent, defaulting to 'no.'
This meant that players had to hit 'OK' while trying to avoid the boss's next attack. That has been fixed with the new patch 1.13, released earlier today by developer FromSoftware, which makes the default selection on the pop-up screen 'OK', thus making it easier for players to resurrect Torrent quickly.
Additional Changes in Patch 1.13
While this was already announced, the change in Torrent's mechanics, it encompasses so much more. The patch notes include many buffs and nerfs to different weapons and spells. There are also added adjustments in the balance for NPCs to further refine gameplay. These are aimed at enhancing the general balance and enjoyment of Elden Ring.
