How to Check Mail in Once Human
The chat log on the bottom left of the screen sometimes shows a small envelope icon with "There's unread mail." This isn't from other players but from developers or the system. These messages often contain free items and rewards, making it important to check your mail regularly.
To check mail, go to a mailbox in a Safe Zone. Safe Zones are marked with blue water droplet icons over a part of a gear. These zones are small NPC settlements that provide tasks and are often tied to the main story of the region.
Once in a Safe Zone, if you have unread mail, an icon will appear over the mailbox. Approach the mailbox and interact with it to see your messages. Use the "Claim All" or "Delete All" options to manage your mail. The mailbox can hold up to 99 items, so delete old messages to make room for new ones.
How to Fast Travel in Once Human
Fast travel in Once Human is called Teleport. To fast travel, locate a fast travel point and press and hold the F button. You can teleport between fast travel points or from a campsite to your base, though the latter has a 10-minute cooldown. The further you travel, the more Energy it costs.
To identify a Teleportation Tower, look for a bright blue light. Press F near the tower to activate it. You can also use these towers to switch to another world by pressing the G button. Towns in Once Human have many Teleportation Towers, making fast travel easy and convenient.
Traveling to a Safe Zone to check mail can be tedious, but fast travel makes it easier. After visiting a Safe Zone, you can fast travel back anytime by spending Energy Links. The cost depends on the distance, with early game travels costing only one link, but it can quickly increase to 200. Fast travel back to your territory is free, making it easy to return. Remember, there's a cooldown after each fast travel.
