Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero Swords vs. Fists Trailer Reveals New Characters in the Game

Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero released the Swords vs. Fists trailer revealing a new set of characters that will be included in the game.

Furthermore, the new trailer also showcased new additions to the game, including Future Trunks (Super), Roasie, Ribrianne, Anilaza, Goku Black (Super Saiyan Rose), and Goku (Super) Ultra Instinct Sign.

Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero features multiplayer modes as well as an immersive Story Mode that players can complete through the main Dragon Ball story. However, it includes some new twists, such as first-person cutscenes of Goku getting blasted with Raditz by Piccolo.

Additionally, the new game in the franchise will feature the new "What If?" story scenarios for people who are perhaps already tired of going through the regular Saiyan and Namek Sagas for the nth time, according to EventHubs.

The game is set to launch on Oct. 11, 2024, and will be available for players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. There will also be special Deluxe and Ultimate Editions on sale that you can pre-order now.

The new trailer comes as the game's producer, Jun Furuya, released gameplay information that gives fans some insight into how Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero is being developed. He said that the upcoming game does not carry the same responsibility as a title that was created to become an Esport.

Furuya said that it is a fighting action game where you can play Dragon Ball, noting that its appeal is that you can perform various actions with your own hands as much as possible. However, it is not considered a casual game and it still features deep tactics that let you hone your skills.

Plans for Balance Changes

The game's producer added that they were not simply throwing away the balance of battles, noting that they were adjusting things so that players could enjoy online battles for a long time. But unlike Esports games, they are not too focused on emphasizing fairness between characters, said Forbes.

He said that they instead decided to invest more time and effort into making characters have more distinct personalities. What this means is that there is a high chance that the game will most likely feature a few overpowered characters.

Prior to the latest trailer, a lot of other characters were revealed for the game, including Gotenks, Kefla, Vegito, and many more. Over time, there have been many reveal trailers that have brought the number of known characters to a significant level.

Despite this, there are still quite a lot of characters that can be revealed before the number of known playable characters reaches the 164 that the game promises to deliver on launch.

Other than that, it is already known that Bandai Namco plans to add some DLC characters to Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero, according to ComicBook.
