Capcom just announced that it is working on a Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster that will bring back the classic Xbox 360 game and bring it to modern consoles.
Despite the announcement, there has been no official release date shared by the studio nor did it detail exactly which platforms the remaster will be available on. The original Dead Rising franchise was an Xbox exclusive but has since appeared on other platforms.

In an official teaser trailer, Capcom showed the game's opening scenes, featuring protagonist Frank West riding on a helicopter going to Willamette Mall. While the game's upgrade seems to have gotten an upgrade, there was another thing that fans noticed.
This was the voice actor, T.J. Rotolo, who is not reprising his role as the notable zombie-slaying photojournalist.
The video game studio had previously remastered Dead Rising with an HD version that launched on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2016, in celebration of the franchise's 10th anniversary according to IGN.
The original game was first released in 2006 and follows the story of photojournalist Frank as he travels to a small Colorado town that has become infested with zombies. He only has three days to get the big scoop on what exactly caused the outbreak.
While Capcom released it early in the lifespan of the Xbox 360 console, the game quickly became a fan favorite. It was able to showcase the console's technical power by featuring hundreds of undead on one screen without suffering any framerate issues.

Furthermore, the series became popular for having sandbox-style gameplay where players can use nearly anything they see and collect as a weapon to stay alive against the zombies.
Dead Rising's launch helped it spawn a successful franchise, featuring three sequels, the most recent of which is Dead Rising 4 which came out in 2016.
The original Dead Rising requires players to survive for three days inside the zombie-infested mall and uncover the truth behind the plague. But in one of the game's multiple endings, you can also just sit on the roof of the mall and leave after the three days have passed, said Kotaku.
Improving Upon the Base Game
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster appears to be a complete remaster of the original Xbox 360 classic and would include new textures, models, and many more. While the game itself looked better in the teaser trailer, Frank himself looked a little bit odd.
In the latest footage for the remaster, the protagonist looks a lot older and has a very different visual to his original design. But many players are still hopeful as this is only the first trailer that Capcom has shared regarding the upcoming game.
Another key feature of the original Dead Rising game is that inside the zombie-infested mall are dozens of other survivors who are trying to outlast the apocalyptic situation. However, due to how NPCs behaved at the time, escorting the other survivors was more of a challenge than it was supposed to be.
But the new remaster could definitely grab the opportunity to improve on this with various advancements in technology. Particularly, there have been leaps and bounds made in AI for NPCs making them smarter, according to GameSpot.
