Forza Horizon 5 developer Playground Games announced a new update that will add a variety of vehicles to the game's roster, including cars from Back to the Future and the Jurassic Park franchise.

The new content will be focused on more recent innovations in the realm of automobiles and features the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, the 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 5 N, the 2021 Toyota GR Yaris, the 2023 Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo Turbo S, and the 2023 Kia EV6 GT.

But many players will most likely not see any of these new cars as the highlight of the new update to the game. This is because the developer is adding several iconic vehicles from Universal Studios films and TV shows to the roster.

The update brings the Universal Icons Car Pack that features KITT from Knight Rider, Jurassic Park's 1992 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, and a distinct version of the Delorean Time Machine from each Back to the Future film in the trilogy, according to GameInformer.

Every single Time Machine will feature a unique look and visual effects after players hit 88 miles per hour. On the other hand, the Jurassic Park Wrangler features the park's logo as well as the iconic color scheme from the movie. The KITT also adds a body kit that features Super Pursuit Mode.

The latest update is not the first time that Forza Horizon 5 has introduced licensed vehicles from popular pop-culture properties. Available now for players to purchase are the Forza Horizon 5: Fast X Car Pack and the Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels expansion.

On top of the series mentioned above, the new season also adds 17 EventLab props to help players build modern highways and a robot collectible out in the world. The update comes as Forza Horizon 5 first launched in 2021 much to the enjoyment of many racing fans.

New Cars, Items, and Playlist

The latest update is a major sign that Forza Horizon 5 has no plans to stop its live service train and the upcoming patch is known as Modern Horizons. It is expected to be released on June 18, 2024, and the accompanying Festival Playlist will come later in the week, said WindowsCentral.

On top of the new cars and props, players will see the new Shark Outfit cosmetic item that is sure to get your menace on. One thing that is also worth noting is that the red lights on KITT are fully functional.

The Robot collectible resembles a sports version of EVE from the movie Wall-E if it was manufactured by Cupra. Players can add this particular item to their Eventlab creations from this month too.

Other than the new content in the latest update, Forza Horizon 5 also teased what could be coming next for the popular racing game. It showed off an apparent Coffee Shop as part of the Evolving World.

When it comes to changes, the update brings a small number of adjustments, with the only specific one being the fix of a bug with the Volkswagen ID.4's gear ratios. Otherwise, the latest update focused on game stability to make players' experience smoother, according to GTPlanet.
