The Latest Character in the Game
Slayer is the character who rounds off the third season of extra content and DLC for Guilty Gear Strive. Released on May 30, 2024, the newest playable character in the fighting game is one of the most powerful and classy in the series.
He has a hard-hitting offense and he has been given a few new devastating tricks that make him a more interesting choice. Slayer has been in the franchise since Guilty Gear XX and he is known as a Nightwalker, which is the series' version of vampires.
Similar to Nagoriyuki, Slayer is immensely powerful canonically and is equipped with a range of vampiric abilities that let him disorient and devastate his enemies.
In Guilty Gear Strive, his Dandy Step remains his signature move and it allows him to move quickly into several different follow-ups, according to ShackNews.
Slayer's in-game description when he is hovering in the character selection screen reads, "Laid-back and dignified vampire." This is an apt description of the character and briefly captures his essence.
