Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is coming to Steam in August later this year in an announcement during Ubisoft Forward on Monday.
The announcement of the game coming to Valve's gaming platform came with the release of the first story DLC's two-second trailer. This particular content for the game will be coming out in September this year.

Since being released in January 2024, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has been exclusively available for PC players via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft's own launcher.
The game's pending arrival on Steam has fans feeling that it came sooner rather than later which may have been prompted by lackluster sales.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown coming to Steam will also make it available for the Steam Deck, which may be good news for many fans of the game. Some believe that the title is a perfect contender for a handheld gaming experience, according to Rock Paper Shotgun.
The game is a platforming-heavy metroidvania that features a massive world for players to explore filled with various enemies you will encounter. As is customary of the franchise, it also has wonderful puzzle arenas to solve as well as intense, action-packed boss fights.
The official description of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown reads, "Dash into a stylish and thrilling action-adventure platformer game." It adds that it is set in a mythological Persian world where the boundaries of time and space are in the hands of players to manipulate.

Your main character has Time Powers and is proficient in combat and platforming which will be needed to perform deadly combos and defeat time-corrupted enemies and mythological creatures.
The game also lets you collect and equip new Amulets from shopkeepers to provide various bonuses throughout your journey. The world has a variety of highly detailed biomes that each have their own identity, wonders, and dangers, said NicheGamer.
Coming to Steam
The Steam announcement comes as the game is getting The Divine Trials DLC which features new puzzles, amulets, challenges, and more, all for free. The latest content drop also gives something to players who are not satisfied with the current challenge of the game.
On top of these, there are new outfits that are available for Sargon in the latest update including the 2008 iteration of Prince of Persia.
The cell-shaded skin is a part of the third Divine Trials DLC that is already out now for anyone who owns Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown across all platforms, according to GamesRadar.
The Divine Trials update adds 22 new challenges for you to test your skills in and can be accessed via the Hall of Memories. This is a new door in the Haven and the challenges consist of various kinds of tricky stages.
As you make your way through the action-adventure game and unlock various new abilities for your character, you will unlock more trials. Each of these consists of a challenge of some kind, such as combat, puzzle, or platforming. When you beat these, you will be rewarded with new items.
