Civilization 7 has been announced to be coming in 2025 and to celebrate the latest entry in the franchise, Civilization 6 is on sale on Steam right now for only $3.
The unveiling of Civilization 7 during Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest that also featured many other highly anticipated titles and updates. On top of the massive 95% sale on the game's predecessor, there are also other gaming deals that are running right now.
Massive Civilization Sale
These can be found across the PlayStation Store and Steam and are available in commemoration of the Summer Game Fest. Additionally, other retailers, such as Amazon and Best Buy, are also taking advantage of the recent video game hype generated by the event.
Civilization 6 is a historical turn-based strategy game where players can choose one from 18 world civilizations, including the Americans, the Chinese, the Egyptians, and many more. You will have to lead your civilizations all the way from the Stone Age into the Space Age, according to Tom's Guide.
You can also choose to conquer your enemies through military might or lead the world in scientific achievement. On the other hand, you can become a utopia for artists and philosophers. The game features a ton of customization options and can be as relaxing or as demanding as you want it to be.

The Civilization games are among the most popular and the entire franchise is a long-running series that has a lot of history, pun intended. It features humanity's most influential cultures and you are tasked with guiding them through centuries of history while keeping your own goal in mind.
Civilization 6 was initially released in 2016 and has since had a ton of DLC updates that featured new scenarios, rising and falling civilizations, natural disasters, and more. For those who have not yet played the game, there is a lot for you to unpack.

Your main goals are to build cities, raise armies, research new technologies, and either become a conqueror or a trader. Because Civilization 6 is a turn-based strategy game, nothing ever really gets too overwhelming for you to address, said PCGamesN.

The sale comes as Civilization 7's announcement came in the form of a cinematic teaser trailer that did not show off any gameplay footage. There is very little information out right now about the game and even screenshots have not yet been shared by the developer.
It was also revealed that more details about the latest game in the franchise will be revealed in August, alongside its "exciting new features and innovations."
The teaser trailer during the Summer Game Fest was followed by a brief to-camera segment from Sid Meier himself but he did not say anything of note, according to Rock Paper Shotgun.
