New Chao-Related Gameplay
While the Chao Garden won't be making a comeback, Sonic x Shadow Generations will still have something for Chao enthusiasts. Players can now rescue hidden Chao in every level. This new element adds an incentive for players who have already experienced the original Sonic Generations to revisit the game.
Future Prospects for Chao Garden
Despite the current absence, there is hope for the Chao Garden's return in future games. Takashi Iizuka expressed support for the idea, acknowledging the fans' desire for it. In an interview with VGC, he stated, "At some time, yes, because we hear the same thing. Everybody wants it!"
Sonic x Shadow Generations is set to release on the Switch on October 25, 2024. Fans can look forward to new gameplay footage and trailers available online.
