Korean developer Blueside's Kingdom Under Fire II is nearly upon us, the third-person action RPG series now turned into an MMO RTS game. The game will offer both single player and online multiplayer modes and picks up the story from Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom for the Xbox 360. It's the first RTS game in the Kingdom Under Fire universe since 2005's Heroes.
Today Blueside announced the release of the game client for the game, meaning that you can download it right now in anticipation of the beta period, which will take place from May 6 to May 9. Download the game client from the official site right here, where you can also register for the beta.
The poorly-translated game description is amusing in its own way- "You joined our ranks in hopes to find an epic adventure with us and stood against all odds in the front lines of the revolutionary fight. Now standing on the front lawn of Hell's kingdom, we announce the assault to eternal victory will soon begin. If you haven't joined the in hype, this is where you ought to be!"
Despite that the gameplay does look pretty remarkable, as you can see below. It's got almost Dynasy Warriors-level battles on display, letting you control giant hero characters and take on swarms of enemies while directing massive armies on the fly. Announced way back in January 2008, Kingdom Under Fire II is also in the works for PS4 where it will apparently look even better.
